streaMed
is easy to implement.
streaMed requires only an Internet connection, plus Internet Explorer
and the QuickTime, RealPlayer or Macromedia Flash plugins. If
you already have a Internet-connected PC or Macintosh workstation, laptop,
or tablet device in the organization, no new hardware or networking is required.
If you need to purchase hardware for streaMed, wired.MD can help
recommend a solution that meets your needs.
When you receive your streaMed Installation Manual, you can choose whether
to store streaMed locally on a network server or on the local hard drive, or to utilize a completely web-based version where the videos stream over the Internet.
Once streaMed is installed locally or your streaming access is granted, you
get effortless access via the Internet to your new media videos, associated text handouts and communication tools.
You also receive streaMed updates either via CD-Rom's, if you use streaMed locally, or via the Internet, if you use the web-based version of streaMed.
In order
to access your customized streaMed Patient Site from a personal or home computer, your patients simply
need an Internet connection, Internet Explorer, and the QuickTime or RealPlayer plugin.
For patients who don't have QuickTime or RealPlayer, the Patient Site includes instructions assisting them through
the simple installation process.
