wired.MD® is an eHealth company, founded in March 2000, that uses innovative technology to develop digital healthcare education tools for use at the point of care and beyond. Our products help healthcare organizations of all sizes do a better job of managing costs, risk, compliance, and customer satisfaction.

wired.MD's set out with its flagship product, the streaMed® Patient Education Solution, which utilizes new media technology to provide more engaging and effective patient education in patient education resource centers, medical libraries, exam rooms, waiting rooms, and in the patient's home.

In 2004, wired.MD released an extension of their streaMed suite of product offerings to help further meet the market's demand for the video, animation and text content that wired.MD develops and provides. Three new product offerings were released including streaMed CCTV™, which provides pre-digitized closed-circuit television ready videos, streaMed DVD™, which allow for healthcare organizations to pick and choose wired.MD video titles for use with their TV/DVD hardware combination, and then finally streaMed Website™, which allows for patient and consumer health video integration into health websites.

Together these offerings have established wired.MD as the leader in video patient education software.
