wired.MD, Inc. announced today the release of the prevenTV (pri-'ven-tiv) Waiting Room Educator, a new media patient education DVD the company will demonstrate to thousands of family practitioners and practice administrators at the AAFP Annual Scientific Assembly in Atlanta this week. wired.MD is the first to offer a retention-based new media preventive health waiting room education program for the healthcare market.

The prevenTV Educator uses the combination of full-motion video, medical illustration/animation, graphical representations and easy to understand narration that increase patients understanding and retention of crucial ailments and condition they are candidates for. prevenTV is in DVD format allowing physicians and healthcare organizations to utilize the educator within the waiting room(s)/reception area(s) to take advantage of the education possibilities of that traditional waiting time.
